A much cooler morning on the farm. The animals are eating and the birds are singing, insects chirping, the roosters caroling. I love my sacred space on this Earth. We work hard to continually honor and improve it, and enjoy the task. We are truly blessed. Have a wonderful day friends.

Little hack, fun times

Yep, horse photos and dog photos. 😁 No photo for the ride but Lola and I had a nice little hack this evening, just a bareback and rope hackamore, incorporating obstacles (our horse henge our stone henge monument, tire squeeze, and logs). We have fun around here, lol. The horses are now out munching hay in the front precision pen. Life is simply wonderful.

We ride, we connect, we are one.

Yeah, that question always makes me giggle. Yes, I ride my horse (and so many of my fellow PNHrs compete in all kinds of competitions to the highest level of skill)! I also play on the ground with my horse, we play in the saddle, we connect, we are partners, and we have fun in every moment we are together. We can feel each other's energy, we share breath, we share our lives, and are as one. We have a relationship that is grounded in a strong foundation and communication. Do you have this kind of important and amazing connection? I surely hope so. If not we should talk. 😀

Calling all local horse women!

Horse Lover's Savvy Circle
A Support Network for North Country Horse Women

Over the last several months and particularly the last several days, many of you have spoken with me about wanting an outlet to connect.

We all recognize that we are really overly busy with family, careers, and life but, yearn to connect with other horse people. Many of us have our own farms and although awesome can cause an unintended consequence of isolation.

What I have heard is a need for a way to get together with and without our horses to talk and share about struggles and triumphs in horsemanship, fear, skill development, health, work-life balance, exercise and weight loss support, recipes exchanges, etc. Many have mentioned the need for motivation and cheerleaders, someone to push us out of comfort zones, and more. And, there is interest to plan fun times together with our horses too. The horse world can be a lonely and judgmental place. It can also be a place of pure joy, wonderment, and fun.

I am planning to create  a group to do just this, connect us! We differ in lifestyles, careers, and even our horse path but we all have two key ingredients. We are women and we love horses!
